An internationally acclaimed speaker, author, researcher, and in-demand coach, Dr. Marty Martin has coached high-level executives in business, education, and medicine. His reputation for delivering high-energy, content-rich, memorable presentations has led to repeat appearances for clients like the American College of Physician Executives, the American College of Healthcare Executives, and the Financial Planning Association.

Since 1982, Dr. Martin has given over 2,500 presentations all over the world to clients in the fields of health care, financial planning, and higher education. He addresses topics including managing performance, taming disruptive behavior, hiring the best the first time, the psychology of money, and recession-proofing your life. Marty is also called upon to facilitate many board and strategic planning sessions for his clients.

Biography

Dr. Marty Martin, a pioneering financial psychologist, has published The Inner World of Money: Taking Control of Your Financial Decisions and Behaviors, as well as nearly 75 magazine articles and book chapters. His work has appeared in industry-leading publications like The Journal of Financial Planning and The Physician Executive, and he’s been featured in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and the Chicago Tribune. Formerly a practicing clinical psychologist and human resources executive, Marty has worked for the Johns Hopkins Hospital, Tulane University, Xavier University of Louisiana, and the National Institutes for Health. He is a director and associate professor in the College of Commerce at DePaul University, where his classes combine cutting-edge research with his own practical experiences working with his clients as a financial advisor and psychologist at Aequus Wealth Management.
